Andersen´s is pleased to present Jasmin Franko´s second soloexhibition, Amnesia, in the gallery.
In the exhibition Amnesia, Jasmin unfolds a micro universe of artifacts, relics, fossils and creatures. A universe that draws attention to the concept of memory as a poetic device and catalyst for imagination. Through nostalgia, dreams and art history Franko displays a series of ceramic sculptures that fundamentally looks at animism in a modern age through the living material – clay.
Franko’s practice involves a close engagement with form, using clay as her medium. Over the past year she has been especially focused on reclaiming the importance of craftmanship in the landscape of arts.
